Group Admin and Power Users can create areas in Local Insight. Once created, all users can then view data for those areas on the map, dashboard and in the reports.
Please note:
You can create any area in Local Insight including; Wards, Parishes, Local Authorities, Regions, GP catchment areas, Primary Care Networks, Parliamentary Constituencies and completely bespoke areas.
Create custom areas:
There are 4 methods you can use to create custom areas:
- Draw a bespoke area on the map
- Create a custom area by uploading postcodes
- Select from a list of standard area(s) - this includes LA, MSOA and LSOA areas
- Import a shapefile
To create new custom areas or review the existing areas click Group Admin > Manage Custom Areas
