My custom datasets are not showing data for some of my custom areas?

There are two reasons why a custom dataset may not show data for some of your custom areas:

You have not uploaded any data for the geographical areas which make up your custom area

Data will only show, on the maps and for custom areas, in the geographical regions which were included in the upload. For example, if you upload data for 100 LSOA in Brighton, any custom areas you have which are not situated in Brighton will not have any data.

The custom areas showing no data were created after you uploaded the data

When you upload your own custom datasets to Local Insight we aggregate the data to LSOA, MSOA and LA level to present on the maps as well as aggregating to existing custom areas. For confidentiality reasons, we do not store the raw data that you upload. As a consequence, any custom areas you create after your custom data upload will not show any data.

To resolve this, all you need to do is re-upload the custom dataset. When you re-upload, Local Insight will aggregate the data for all your new custom areas. To do this follow the steps in this article
