All of the data that is included within Local Insight is local level data. Most of the datasets are published at LSOA level or below. There are a few datasets such as hospital admissions and population turnover, which are published at MSOA level.
Currently, we try not include any local authority level data. This is because it is difficult to accurately apportion down to lower levels. Additionally, viewing local authority level data on the maps wouldn’t produce useful visualisations when zoomed into sub local authority level, as the data would not be able to be accurately apportioned to LSOA and MSOA level.
